Located only few steps away from the historic center of the peninsula, next to the “Wat Meuna” temple, Villa Maydou embodies the heritage of Laotian culture and its peaceful way of living.

Created in 2005 by a lao woman Noy & Patrick her french husband, this boutique hotel is a restoring & building project iniated under the authority of “La Maison du Patrimoine” & the UNESCO. It’s composed of five exceptional lao-colonial buildings & one private house “Maison Houng Chanh “. Three of them are listed at the UNESCO World Humanity Heritage.

Enjoy our homemade breakfast, discover the fine Laotian and French cuisines of our restaurant, and explore the city with the bikes at your disposal… The calm and serenity of our tropical garden is also an invitation to relax and swim in our swimming-pool.

" Stunning Beautiful Spot, Wonderful Staff "

Charming, helpful staff. I had one meal: fried spring rolls and fish larb, both were outstanding. The rooms are spacious, the beds are firm but comfortable. The green tiled swimming pool ends an afternoon of exploration in the heat. Villa Maydou is a verdant compound off the main road. Quiet, secure, private. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Villa Maydou is a great place for down time at the end of a hectic day, a stunning beautiful spot from which to enjoy Luang Prabang. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

" Dolce Vita ! "

We love charming boutique hotels, this is one. Old heritage building, perfectly maintained and renovated with wood everywhere, including the bathroom. Quality robes and slippers. Beautiful swimming pool, its green tiles matching the luscious garden. Adorable staff. Incredibly copious and delicious breakfast (try the mango juice). It's only one kilometer (15' walk) to the street behind phousi hill with all the good restaurants but others are closer.

" Simply stunning "

Our first time in Laos and we picked this on recommendation as a quiet and comfortable boutique hotel in Luang Prabang. More than lived up to that! Very welcoming, really comfortable and well appointed rooms, quiet, nice small pool (slightly surprising green tiles) with poolside bar, nice cocktails and snack meals. The property has its own restaurant, serving generous and very nice meals, both Laotian and more international dishes. Set back from the main road from which it's separated by its 'own' temple, close to the 'old' bridge over the Khan river. About 15 mins walk to the main part of the the town, though taxi or tuktuk easily available. Really nice place to stay and would very happily do so again! Really can't fault it !
